Paper Eclipse Puppet Company hosts puppet-making and puppeteering workshops for children and adults who can operate scissors and follow basic instructions in group situations. Together we create two-dimensional puppets from ordinary everyday materials, fasten the puppets to a stick and learn rudimentary puppeteering. When a workshop is offered in tandem with a specific show, such as Bats! Myth and Reality or The Life Cycle of the Chinook Salmon, space is made within the narrative for guest puppets, or, in the case of Bats!, guest puppeteers. Workshop participants receive guidance and instruction from Paper Eclipse puppeteers throughout the process.
Duration: up to 3 hours. Materials provided by Paper Eclipse Puppet Company.
